Alma Demick

STURBRIDGE: Alma (Hinckley) Demick, 85, formerly of Cedar St. died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 at Radius Healthcare of Southbridge. Her husband Louis L. Demick died in 1981. She leaves two daughters Diane Cournoyer and her husband Robert of Southbridge, Laureen Langer and her husband Burton of New York, NY,  two grandchildren  Kim Scott and Keith Cournoyer, and four great grandchildren Shandi, Beth, Hannah, Kayla.  She was predeceased by a grandson Kraig Cournoyer in 1993 and a brother Donald Hinckley in 2008.

Mrs. Demick was a member of the Sturbridge Federated Church. She retired from the American Optical Co. in 1984 after 34 years of service. She graduated from Mary E. Well High School class of 1940.  She enjoyed bowling, playing pitch and line dancing.

Her funeral will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, Feb. 21, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. Burial will follow in North Cemetery, Sturbridge. A calling hour will be held from Noon to 1:00PM.
