Allard Normandin

July 19, 1927 — May 11, 2011

SOUTHBRIDGE – Allard Normandin, 83, of Hamilton St., died in his home on Wednesday, May 11, surrounded by his family.  He leaves two sons, Gary Normandin, and his wife, Penny, of Thompson, Ct, and Stephen Normandin, and his partner, Pam, of Webster; three daughters, Linda Trucheon, and her husband, David, Ellen Jordan, and her husband, David, and Amy Jones, and her partner, Carl, all of Southbridge; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He was born in Southbridge, and lived in the area his entire life.  He worked for the town’s Department of Public Works for over 30 years. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Allard served as a Merchant Marine during WWII.  He was a member of the Police Auxiliary, the American Legion, and the VFW.  He was a member of Notre Dame Church and St. Mary’s Church.  He enjoyed spending time working outside and taking trips to Foxwoods.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, May 28, in St. Mary’s Church, Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.  The Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge, is directing arrangements.  An online guestbook is available at www.BelangerFuneralHome.com.
