Charlton: Alice L. (Phillips) Stone, 95, of 91 Masonic Home Rd. died Monday, June 11, after a short illness. Her husband of 50 years, Harry L. Stone, died in 1983. She leaves 3 sons Clifford P. Stone and his wife Mary; Charles E. Stone and his wife Susan all of Charlton; Gordon L. Stone and his wife Elinor of Hill, NH., 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Marion E. Stone of Charlton, and several nephews and nieces. A brother, Maro Phillips, and 2 sisters Mildred Vaundel and Clara Mann, a granddaughter Donna Stone and a great grandson Joshua Stone predeceased her.
Alice was born in Charlton, daughter of Everett and Edith (Lewis) Phillips and lived here all her life. She was a member of the Federated Church of Charlton and a former member of the Charlton City United Methodist Church.
Her funeral service will be held at 9:00AM Thursday, June 14th, in the Federated Church of Charlton, Main St., Charlton. Calling hours are 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Wednesday, June 13th, in the Belanger-Bullard funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to the Federated Church of Charlton Building Fund, PO BOX 70, Charlton, Ma. 01507.
