Alan Houghton

SOUTHBRIDGE: Alan C. Houghton, 71, of Marc Ave., died Monday, May 14th at UMASS Memorial Medical Center. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Jeanne (Boudreau) Houghton, two sons, David Houghton and his wife Chantal of Alton, NH, Brian Houghton and his wife Begonia of Littleton; two daughters Katherine Houghton of Leominster, and Karen Kane of Ft. Myers, FL; a sister Marilyn Cass of West Springfield; three grandchildren, Tyler, Jason, and Caroline; and several nephews and nieces. A brother, James Houghton, died Jan. 23, 2007. He graduated from Springfield High School, Springfield, VT, Vermont Technical College, and attended Bryant College. He worked for the U.S. Department of Defense, Air Force Contract Mangement Division for 30 yrs. retiring in 1992. He served in the US Air Force. He was an avid football fan, enjoyed bird watching, and most of all he enjoyed his family. At his request, services will be private.
